Change #2:
Page 125 For the prohibition against the display of imitation firearms in public places: public schools, and public and private colleges and universities, are considered "public places."
Page 82 If you have a California license to carry a concealed and loaded handgun (CCW), you can now carry your concealed and loaded handgun in U.S. National Parks located in the state of California.  But be aware of these three issues:

1. You must carry your handgun concealed and according to any restrictions on your license.

2. You cannot carry your handgun into federal government buildings such as a visitors' center, and you must follow all other firearms laws.

3. Under the new presidential administration, this rule may change shortly.  You may wish to contact a law enforcement officer at the park before you visit to obtain an update on the status of this regulation.

UPDATE 3/19/09:
A federal judge in Washington, D.C. temporarily blocked this new regulation until the Interior Department can present evidence that the government followed proper procedures when they put the regularion into effect.

For the time being, you can no longer carry a concealed handgun in National Parks located in California even if you have a California CCW license.
